From 3 to March 31 will be held the 4th edition of the Masters Challenge in Practica X, Humboldt 1464, Palermo, Buenos Aires.
The event consists of a formative and performative encounter in which 2 dance couples come together to present their concepts in terms of teaching dance improvisation.
Every Tuesday 2 different pairs will be crossed, completing the cycle with 10 couples. Participants in this edition: Horacio Godoy and Cecilia Garcia, Adrian Veredice and Alejandra Hobert, Mario Consiglieri and Anabella Diaz-Hojman, Esteban Moreno and Claudia Codega, Pablo Rodriguez and Noelia Hurtado, Federico Naveira and Ines Muzzopappa, Gaston Torelli and Moira Castellano, Mariano Chicho Frumboli and Juana Sepulveda, Julio Balmaceda and Corina de la Rosa, Pablo Inza and Mariela Sametband.
THE CLASS (21 to 23hs)
The two couples undertake a tango class shared, giving each its own proposal to address the same subject.
From this experience students and teachers try to see if the techniques are complementary or opposite.
THE SHOW (1.00hs)
Once the class and during the Practica X 2 couples challenge made a presentation (dance improvisation). This will be the audience who challenged couples invited to choose the music with which each make their presentation.
The "Challenge Teacher" has no competitive spirit. The idea of it is to generate an exchange of knowledge between teachers and the public from an unusual point of view for the tango. Generally, each teacher used to work with its own manual and rarely confronts his concepts and techniques with colleagues. This experience aims to bring what appears to be antagonistic. Try to understand complementary. Accepting differences without stating why the useless war of styles.
